With much sadness we announce William Jackson Woods (Bill) passed away in his home surrounded by loved ones on August 24 ^th . Bill was born in 1937 in Gibson Station, VA. His family later moved to Maynardville, TN where he excelled at basketball in school. After graduation, Bill enlisted in the Air Force, proudly serving this great country of ours for eight years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Cleo Woods; his beloved wife of 44 years LaRana; his sisters Irene Lewis and Betty Jones and his brother Robert Woods.

Bill is survived by four daughters: Kim Woods Lovato, Stacy Woods, Laura Jennings and Amy Kellerman (Neil). Grandchildren: Stephen Lovato (Emily), Chelsea Jennings, Matthew Lane, Ethan Kellerman, Caitlyn Jennings, Celeste Kellerman. Great grandchildren: Tristyn Jennings, Jayden Lovato, Valerie Arnold and Ivy Lovato.

Special thank you goes to his hospice caregivers Farrell Martin, Cindy Carswell, Danielle Jones and Barbara Chesney. Without you we could not have fulfilled Dad's wishes.

No services will be held. Our Dad was a very quiet, private, family man, so his girls will honor his wishes at a later date.
