William George Day, age 76, of Maryville went home to be with the Lord, January 15, 2025.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving and being wounded in Vietnam. George was a member of the DAV, and worked for Vulcan Materials, AJ Melter, and Specialty Transport for many years.

George is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Ruby Day; loving son, Robert Day; brother, Billy Day; sisters, Lynn Whitehead Day and Paulette Brewer; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel with Pastor Angel Martinez officiating. Interment will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at East Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery on John Sevier Highway.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
