Wayne F. McDaniel, age 80, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 surrounded by family at Blount Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

Wayne was retired from excavation work and was co-owner of McDaniel Quail Farm with son, Greg.  He is preceded in death by parents, Allen and Ina McDaniel; brothers, Jimmie and Carl.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Linda Best McDaniel; sons, Greg (Tywanna Simmons) McDaniel and Todd (Brenda Martin) McDaniel.  He was truly proud of his grandchildren, Brittany (Daniel) Cline, Josh (Kayla Snell) McDaniel, Hunter McDaniel and fiancée, Brittany Tipton; his special pride and joy great-granddaughter, Remi Oaklyn Cline.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2021 at Carpenters Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
