Wanda Marie Johnson, 72, Kokomo, passed away at 12:38 pm Friday, March 1, 2024, at her home.  She was born May 9, 1951, in Maryville, TN, the daughter of the late Jesse & Wanda (Rowan) Jones.  In November of 1992, she married Edward L. Johnson, who preceded her in death on October 6, 2018.

Marie worked as a waitress for Docs Restaurant and Rays Drive In.  She loved going fishing and camping along with her fur babies, Bubba, Fidget and Squirt.  Marie also loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching her favorite TV shows the Beverly Hillbillies and soap operas.

Marie is survived by her son, John Wilson; stepdaughters, Sonja (Kenneth) Tedlock and Vanessa Johnson; grandchildren, Shelby Wilson and Michael (Angel) McQueary; daughter-in-law, Candy Wilson, along with several nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; son, Tony Wilson; grandsons, John Anthony "Little Johnny" Wilson and Johnathon Wilson; and brother, JR Jones.

In Tennessee, funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Millers Funeral Home, 915 W. Broadway Ave., Maryville, TN.  Burial will follow in Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery, TN. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
