Walter Calvin Dunbar Jr, age 68 of Greenback left this world on January 29,2022 and went to spend eternity with all the saints that went before him. Walt grew up in Maryville and was a graduate of Columbia Military Academy and Hiwassee College. For the many of us who knew Walt well, we have lost a dear friend who always put others before himself. We will miss his friendship and his contagious smile. Walt was retired from his job and Kimberly Clark. He was proceeded in death by his parents Calvin and Sarah Dunbar. Survivors include his wife of 16 years Jane Dunbar; son Justin Dunbar and partner Lindsey Lonas along with their son Jace, His stepson Jeff Dunbar all of Maryville, his stepdaughter Jennifer R. Smart and son in law Lance Smart of Riceville. The family will not be receiving friends at this time but rather will have a gathering of friends and family later for a celebration of life. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Arraignments were made by the Miller Funeral Home.
