Verna "Nana" Burchfield, age 96, of Maryville went home to her lord and savior on Monday, March 3, 2025. Verna was born in Blount County, Tennessee on May 7, 1928, to Horace and Stella Henry.

She graduated from Maryville High School. Verna married the love of her life, Neal, on June 10, 1948, and the two made a home in Maryville where they raised their two sons, Rick and Gary. Verna and Neal were long time members of First Baptist Church of Maryville.

Preceded in death by husband, Neal Burchfield; parents, Horace and Stella Henry; and daughter in law, Robin Burchfield. Verna is survived by her sons, Rick (Joni) and Gary Burchfield; grandsons, Richard (Akiko), Brandon (Shala), and Cole Burchfield; and great grandchildren, Emory, Channing, and Camden Burchfield.

The family will have a graveside service at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Grandview Cemetery with Dr. Bill Booth officiating.
