Obituary

Tina Elizbeth (Lovingood Kimsey) Keller, age 90, of Maryville passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, from complications of pneumonia and dementia.  She was born in Murphy, NC on July 29, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward and Mary Jane (Cook) Lovingood; sisters, Dorothy (Chastain) Futtrell and Myrtle Braden both of Maryville and Glenda (Harris) Rogers of NC; brothers, Lloyd Lovingood and Hoyt Lovingood of Maryville.

She was known for crafting bracelets and embroidery.  She was gregarious, loved to cook, and loved spending time with her family. She loved the mountains and all the things "country" especially quilts, fiddle music, clogging, cornbread, and home-grown tomatoes! Tina had a difficult life marked by tragedy, trauma, sorrow, and illness.  Throughout her life, she was motivated by her undying love for her children.  She suffered much, but always sought to help others when she was able.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Kimsey; son, Marty Kimsey both of Loudon; and an unknown child; granddaughter, Candace and husband, Bryan Hudson; great-grandson, Benjamin all of Mechanicsville, VA; grandson, Jeremy and wife, Rebecca Blair; great-granddaughters, Lana and Nora all of Knoxville; brother, Boyd and wife, Faye (Tipton) Lovingood of Valparaiso, IN; and many nieces and nephews.  She will be greatly missed by niece, Brenda Beatty of Grasonville, MD, and great-niece, Holly Locantore of Las Vegas, NV.

The family would like to thank the University of Tennessee Hospice, especially Hospice nurses, Christian and Jody; special caregivers, Angie, Tina, Cheryl, Rebecca, and Dan, and the staff of River Grove Health and Rehabilitation.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel.  A private graveside service will be held at Grandview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
