On Monday, February 1, 2021, Tammy Renee Hipps Payne, loving wife and mother passed away following a lengthy battle with diffuse scleroderma at the age of 52.  Tammy was born on August 22, 1968 in Maryville, Tennessee to Ginger Hipps.  The majority of her life she was raised by her grandmother, Willie Faye Sellers in Tallassee.  In 1991, she married the love of her life, Tony Payne, and became step-mom to Corey Payne.  In 1996 Tony and Tammy became parents to Caleb Payne.  Tammy loved her family and received so much joy being in the presence of happy, loving family members.  In Tammy's memory be kind to someone, forgive someone, life is short, and love is so important.  She worked in the medical field for many years and was always fond of the years spent in the office of Dr. Mark Green working alongside him and Becca Daniels.  Tammy is survived by her husband, Tony Payne, her son, Caleb Payne (Hunter Hansen); step-son, Corey Payne (Heather Hatley).  Also left to cherish her memory are her mother, Ginger Neal; mother-in-law, Donna Payne; brother-in-law, Marcus (Tiffany) Payne; step-brother-in-law, Andy (Laura) Payne; step-brother-in-law, Eddie Payne; step-sister-in-law, Susan Payne (Elaine NeSmith).  She also leaves behind her dear aunt, Mary Jeffries, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Willie Fay Sellers Hipps; father-in-law, Earl Hanford Payne; step-father-in-law, Robert R. "Poorboy" Payne; beloved uncle, Johnny Jeffries; and dear cousin, Missy Jeffries.  Mrs. Payne was cremated, and a memorial service will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday February 13 ^th at Alnwick Community Center, 2146 Big Springs Road, Maryville.  For those of you who are able to help during this time, we ask that you consider donating funds toward Tammy's funeral expense.  We so appreciate those of you that have already donated.
