Stephen James Darnell passed away on December 3, 2024 in his home.. Born on October 19, 1970, in Maryville, TN, he was the beloved son of Brenda and Larry Darnell. Stephen graduated from Maryville High School and continued his education at Pellissippi Community College.
Stephen dedicated 15 years of his career to the Hilton Downtown Knoxville Hotel, where he served as the Director of Engineering. Known for his remarkable talent and passion with his hands, he brought both skill and heart to his work. A generous spirit, Stephen was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his son, Jared; his mother, Brenda Rayfield; his father, Larry Darnell (Alice); his sisters, Mechelle Rogers, Ashley, and Laura Darnell; his cousin/brother, Gavin Edwards; and many dear friends.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Morganton Cemetery.

Stephen's kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
