Sharon Diane Burchfield passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 23, 1963, in Summerville, SC to Gilbert and Betty Jo Wiggins. She was the fifth child of seven.

She was preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Betty Jo Wiggins; brothers, Gilbert Jr. and Curtiss Wiggins; and daughter, Tabetha Grover.

She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Rick Burchfield; son, Charles (Crystal) Stewart; daughter, Shanna (James) Davis, son, Shane (Donna) Burchfield; sisters, Linda Wilkes, Sue Williams, Tammie Moore; brother, Jesse Wiggins; and 12 grandchildren.

Diane was a member of the Patriot Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Family and friends were always dear to her heart. She was selfless and always put others first. She was very proud of her children and family and loved them dearly.

Diane loved spending time at the beach. As a youth, she enjoyed roller skating and music. Anyone who knew her knew that they could find her at the skating rink every weekend. She had a way of lightening a serious situation and making it less boring. She always encouraged others to follow their own dreams. Diane will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

No memorial or Celebration of Life service has been immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the near future when a service is planned.
