Ronald Roger
Williams
Feb 9, 1942 — Mar 24, 2026
Maryville
Ronald Roger Williams, at the age 84, got his wings and went to Heaven on March 24, 2026, to join his parents, Roger and Augusta "Sue" Williams; brother, Steve; and sister, Diane. A very special thank you to the outstanding care and love for Ron by the staff at Foothills Transitional Care and Rehab of Maryville, and the great care from Gentiva Hospice Care!
Ronald Williams was born on February 9, 1942, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He went on to be an Account Executive in the Food Brokerage Business. He did racing in the ¾ mile and was on half a second off the National Record with his Fast 1966 Nova. Ron later cofounded the Street Rod Car Club "Shades of the Past" with Joe Bailey. They worked together with members: Bobby Alloway, Tom Clark, Jim Stalsworth, Danny Draper, and many other added members and made "The Shades of the Past" one of the best Street Rod Car Clubs in the United States! Ron and the other members all had beautiful show cars and donated to many different charities.
Ron served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Ron was a Christian, kind, generous, caring, had a great sense of humor, loved animals and loved playing his guitar. He will be greatly missed!
Ron is survived by his third wife, Pamela Williams who adored him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter, Humane Society, or St Jude's Hospital for Children in Memphis.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date with Pastor Derek Roberts at Praise Lutheran Church.
