Ronald Lynn Boone, 72, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Donna Raulston Boone, his parents, Paul and Dorothy Boone, brother Paul Boone, and sister Betty (Herman) Best. He is survived by son Brian (Christy) Boone, daughter Ashley (Weldon) Davis, grandchildren Brady Boone, Charity Davis, Rebecca Boone, Walker Davis, siblings Jerri (Joel) Horton, sister-in-law Lynda Boone, Phyllis Boone, Roe (Sharon) Boone, and Gail (Gene) Garland. He was known as Uncle Ronnie to many nieces and nephews. Clint (Laurie) Cagle and family were special family friends. Ronald grew up in Happy Valley, TN and is a 1968 graduate of Lanier High School. He served in the United States Marine Corp Reserves for 6 years from 1970-1976. He retired from WYKO Tire Technology in Greenback after 34 years as a machinist. Ronald loved riding horses and spending time in the mountains. He was a charter member of the Smoky Mountain Trail Riders, a group dedicated to helping the national park maintain trails in the Smoky Mountains. He was a true cowboy. He was a member at Mountain View Church of Christ (Christian). A receiving of friends for Ronald will be held at Mountain View Church of Christ (Christian), 3102 Six Mile Road, Maryville, TN 37803 on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 5pm-7pm with services immediately following.
