Roger Wayne Borden, 66, passed away on May 28, 2025. Born on March 28, 1959, Roger was a proud and kind-hearted man whose love for his family, his friends, and the simple joys of life will be remembered always.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Louise Borden. Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Brenda Borden; his two daughters and his sons in law, Traci and Michael Janke and Kris and Steve Allen; his cherished grandchildren, Ari Allen and Kane Janke; and His sister Debbie and his brother Allen.

He also leaves behind five loyal chihuahuas, who were truly part of the family—and he'd be the first to insist they be named here.

A good old country boy through and through, Roger found joy on the water with a fishing pole in hand and a boat beneath him. He lived with grit, laughter, and deep devotion to the people (and pups) he loved most. His circle of friends, too many to name, will miss his stories, his loyalty, and his humor.

Roger's legacy is one of love, hard work, and one big fish story at a time. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Blount County Animal Shelter in Maryville TN, in honor of Roger's love for his pets.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at West Miller's Cove Cemetery, Rev. Steve Allen officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
