Penny Kaye Kizer, 60, went to be with her Savior on Friday, June 2. She was a devote Christian and attended Meadow United Methodist Church in Greenback. She worked for 25 years at Blount Memorial Hospital as a medical technician. Even though she had rheumatoid arthritis from the age of 2 she led a full and wonderful life obtaining 3 medical degrees from The University of Tennessee, Memphis. Penny was a warm outgoing person who had lots of friends. She had a generous heart and helped with many mission projects and friends who needed help.
She was predeceased in death by her parents, Roger & Frances Kizer. Her surviving siblings include her sister, Patricia (Patti) Fagg, brother, Roger (Roddy) Kizer and wife DeeDee Kizer, & sister, Robin Cagle and husband Greg Cagle. She had 1 niece and 3 nephews, Staci Williams, Dustin Kizer, Alex Fagg, & Colbe Cagle, & 2 great nephews and 3 great nieces. She had several aunts, uncles, & cousins.
Funeral arrangements will be handled by Miller Funeral Home Cremation. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, June 11th at 4:00 PM at Meadow United Methodist Church in Greenback. Family and Friends will gather at Grandview Cemetery on Friday, June 16th at 11:00 AM for the interment.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the memorial fund Meadow United Methodist Church and sent to Elaine Graves, 5111 Old Niles Ferry, Maryville, TN 37801.
Special thanks to her caregiver, Becky Moneymaker, and special friends Sonya Boling & Angel Donovan. A big thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Blount Memorial Hospital.
