Norma Jean
Malone
Jun 29, 1937 — Jun 22, 2022
Maryville
Norma "Jean" Pollard Malone, born June 29, 1937, our precious mother and sweet "Little Nana" went home to be with Jesus on June 22, 2022. Waiting for her with loving and open arms were her parents, Mayme and Henry Pollard; sisters, Odella, Mildred, Nellie, Amilea, and Meralene; brothers, Henry and James; husband, Ronnie; her special niece, Cindy Teffeteller; and sweet nephew, Rick Pollard. Jean was a very special lady. Kind and loving to everyone she knew. She loved the Lord with all her heart and her life was a testimony to that. She was a long-time member of Rockford Baptist Church where she dedicated many years to playing the piano, singing in the choir, and volunteering at Vacation Bible School. Family was very important to her, and she loved and cherished us all. She had such a quiet faith, yet it could move mountains. She was our rock and our soft place, and we will miss her greatly. She left us the greatest gift when she made sure we knew she was going to Heaven. We will forever be blessed because of the way she lived her life. She walked her talk her whole life. Jean is survived by her children, Gina Malone, Terrel (Tamera) Malone, and Tim (Kelly) Malone; grandchildren, Chad (Lindsey) Malone, Paige, Kira, Chloe, and Bella Malone, Jesse, Cody, and Caela Malone; great-grandchildren, Gabe, Elijah, and Lance Malone, Emma, Silas, and Nolan Henderson, Malachi, Hunter, and Abram Malone, Neylan and Caroline Malone. The family would like to give a special thanks to Carissa and the UT Hospice team in providing excellent care for our mom/nana in her journey to her eternal home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jean to the Dementia/Alzheimer's research foundation or the American Diabetes Association. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, June 27, 2022 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Bill Small officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Highland South Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
