Nancy "Nance" Kay Hayes, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was a retired employee of Lowe's Home Improvement and was known for her deep love for her family, exceptional cooking skills, and passion for gardening and birds.

She is survived by her two children, who were also her best friends, Kristi Hayes and Carson "Bo" Hayes (and his wife, Tanya Hayes); her three cherished granddaughters, Riley Jane Cook, Elizabeth "Izzie," and Rachel Hayes; and her two nieces, Kim Long (and her husband Thomas Long) and Sheila Thumma. Nancy also shared a special bond with her close friend, Gary Teter. Nancy grew up in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, and was the beloved daughter of the late Randall "Duffy" Evertts and Mary Jane Evertts, and the sister of Virginia Evertts. She was predeceased in death by her brothers Randall "Bud," Ron, and Larry Evertts.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Maryville City and Blount County emergency personnel and the staff at Blount Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care.

Nancy will be remembered for her warmth, selflessness, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed. At her request, there will be no memorial services.
