Michael Charles Whaley "Mike", age 59, of Maryville, Tennessee passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in East Tennessee, Mike enjoyed mowing, grilling, fishing and spending time with his family.

Mike married Leslie (Garland) almost 31 years ago and had two daughters, Sydney (29) and Charli (26) who he was so proud of. He told everyone he knew about his girls and their accomplishments. Mike loved his dogs, Kobe and Flipp, and his grand-dogs, Poppi, Lucky, and Huckleberry. He was involved in the automotive business for almost 40 years, with the last 17 at Twin City Buick GMC, and made lifelong friends with his special coworkers and customers.

Mike is survived by his wife, Leslie and two daughters, Sydney and Charli, sisters Pat Whaley, Janet Bradley (Greg), and Deb Floyd (Tim), mother-in-law Sharon Walker "Meme", nephew Wade Floyd (Katy), niece Jordon Manis (Jonathan), four great nieces and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Kathleen Whaley, nephew Mason Floyd, and grand-dog Finn Whaley.

A private service will be held at a later date. Mike was so loved by his whole family and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He will be so missed. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Maryville/Alcoa Animal Rescue Center in Blount County.
