Mary Alice Dodson, age 81, of Maryville passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Asbury Place of Maryville.  She was of the Baptist faith, and a graduate of Greenback High School class of 1961. As a child, Mary spent a lot of time with her maternal grandparents, Richard and Dora Coffman Petty.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter B. and Laura Bailey Bacon, Richard and Dora Coffman Petty; parents, Hubert Earl Bacon Sr and Thelma Petty Bacon; and brother, Hubert Earl Bacon Jr.

Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jimmy Dodson; sisters, Barbara Lee, Jeanine Hall, and Rita Brooks; brother, Rickey Bacon; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to your favorite charity.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Clarks Grove Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
