Margaret Rana Broome Ray, age 76, of Greenback went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 17, 2024.

She was a long-time member of Carson Island Baptist Church.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Opal Broome and brother, Lee Thomas.

Survived by her husband of 53 years, Edwin Ray; daughter, Tracy (Josh) Nichols; granddaughter and light of her life, Harper Nichols; sisters, Gail Barnard and Kathy Dixon; brother, Doyle (Jeanie) Broome; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Blount Memorial Hospital Emergency Room and Critical Care units for their hard work and comfort care.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Dewey Caldwell officiating.  Interment will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
