Margaret Jane Cardin lived a long happy life of 97 years with many friends whom she considered "family". She was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church and was loved by all who met her.  She worked at Minton's Clothing store until it closed.  Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her son, David; her parents, Robert and Mattie Jenkins; a special aunt, Ruth Mae Frank; brother, James Jenkins; sister, Barbara Laugherty; granddaughter, Amy Sammons.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marvin and Nelda Goins; grandsons, Tim and Glenn Goins; great-grandchildren, Chase and Lauren Sammons, Garrett, Gunner, and Lilli Goins; sister, Mary Hood; and several nieces and nephews.  Special thanks to her friends at Maryville Towers for their help in taking care of her for many years and also to the nurses and staff of Asbury Place.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Central Baptist Church would be appreciated.  Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Jim Haggard officiating.  Interment will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Shady Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
