Madge Cooper, 86, of Maryville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Asbury Place.

Madge was born in Sevierville and moved to Maryville after a few years and has lived there the remainder of her life.  She graduated from Everett High School in 1955.  Married to her devoted husband, Malchus Cooper on September 25, 1955.  Madge was a very caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Loyal member and devoted Christian at Village Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Lura Reagan Price; husband, Malchus Cooper; son-in-law, Mitchell Davis; granddaughter, Autumn Davis; great-grandson, Zayden Slagle.

She is survived by her son, Dannie (Robin) Cooper; daughter, Tammie Cooper Davis; grandchildren, Dustin Cooper, Destiny Cooper, Morgan (Josh) Slagle; great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Camden, Aubree, and Braxton.

Many special thanks to friends, Judy Morgan and Jane McClanahan for your support and help throughout our mother's illness.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, September 29, 2023 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Rev. Jim "Tater" Wells officiating.  Arrangements are with Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
