Our beloved mother and "Nana" Lydia Ailene Burchfield Willis peacefully left us while sleeping at her home in Seymour, TN on Saturday, July 27, 2024. She was born July 15, 1941, to George and Novelle Burchfield. Ailene was a hard worker, an amazing cook, and an excellent seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her dedicated husband of 53 years, Mack Willis; and oldest grandson, John Lay.

She is survived by her children, Edna Sweet, Frank Willis, Eyvonne Willis, Elaine (Frank) Jackson, Dennis "Teddy" (Leanne) Willis; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren; siblings, Lorene (Carol) Willis, Ted (Sheila) Burchfield, Granville (Robin) Burchfield, Paulette (Bill) Suttles; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Bethlehem Cemetery, Rev. John Lowe officiating.
