Lois Dockery, age 80, of Alcoa went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 23, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.  Lois was a long-time member of East Maryville Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church in Townsend.  She loved working in her garden, bird watching, piddling in her yard, crafting, making Christmas ornaments for people, sewing, especially doll clothing, playing with her grandkids, and was renowned for her apple stack cake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Johnson and Frank Alonzo Johnson; sisters, Nadine Johnson and Wanda Tipton; and brothers, Roger Johnson and Ronald Johnson.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Lisa Dockery (Andrew) Boyce and Heather Dockery (Bren) Wells; grandchildren, Jarrod Combs, Marley Smith, Ryan Boyce, Sofia Smith, Isabel Boyce, and Roen Wells; brothers, Walt Johnson and Larry Johnson; sisters-in-law, Kathy Myers, Fran  Whiteman and Sandy Dockery; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Mike and Kim Garner, Trula Berry, Carolyn Parton, her "Lunch Bunch" friends and Lorrie Long; and special family helpers, Kathy Myers, Tracy Clabough and Fran Whiteman.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 28, 2023 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, with interment to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
