Lester Michael "Mike" Smith, age 63, of Maryville passed away suddenly Monday, June 26, 2023.  Mike was a loving son, brother, and uncle.  He was a long-time employee of Rockford Manufacturing.  If you knew Mike, you loved him from his sarcasm to his laughter, to his kind heart. He would always make others smile and laugh just being the great man he was.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ruth Smith; brothers-in-law, Ronald Kelso and Ira Radford; sister-in-law, Charlene Myer; niece, Kristi Smith; and great-nephew, Hunter Herin.

He is survived by his siblings, Tony Smith, Wendell and Patti Smith,  Kathy Kelso, Linda Radford, Robert Myers, Bill and Cindy Myers, Larry and Virginia Myers, and Betty and Maynard Shifflett; special nieces, Kimber and Cheryle Smith, Kaitlin Rogers; nephew, Joey Kelso; great-nephews, Tyson Smith, Elijah Rogers, and Micah Smith; great-niece, BrookLea Smith; and several other nieces and nephews; special family friend, Miranda Myers.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Bill Dixon officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Rev. Bill Dixon and Mr. Jeff Crye officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
