Lena Margaret “Dean” Tipton, 90, of Townsend, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 13, 2026, at her home. She loved gardening, her flowers, talking to friends, playing with her grandchildren and listening to Rev. Charles Stanley.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Don O. Tipton; parents, Arnold and Janie Patty; brothers, Troy, Carlie, Paul, Lloyd, Oscar, and Kenneth; and sisters, Grace and Myrtle.

Dean is survived by her children, Don W. Tipton and Debbie Tipton; grandchildren, Jay (Jana) Tipton, Chesney (Allen) Davis; great-grandchildren, Abel, Arliss, Ansley, and Aubrey; sister, Ella Mae; special friend, Tammy Tipton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Rev. Fate Green and Rev. Ronnie Hepperly officiating.
