Obituary

Kathy Diane (Presley) Hinzman, age 66, of Maryville, peacefully went on to be with our LORD Jesus in heaven on Sunday, August 14, 2022.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, William 'Junior' Presley; Dorothy (Cagle) Presley; step-mother Josie (Steele) Presley; and siblings Barbara (Presley) Wilhoite; and Ronald Presley.  She is survived by her husband, Stephen Hinzman; daughter, Brigette Hinzman: grand-daughter, Angelena Hinzman; grandson, William 'Isaac' Kemper; great-grandson, Javareous Hinzman; brothers Charles 'Pete' Presley and Stanley Presley; sister, Peggy (Presley) Myers; special aunt, Lena Giffin; very special friend Brenda Lawhon; and so many loving friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. On April 22, 1980 Kathy married her best-friend and the love of her life that she adored and cherished. She was a devoted mother and grandmother but her most favorite role by far was being a great-grandmother. Kathy loved Jesus and encouraged others to accept His saving grace. She truly loved her family, and her friends. Kathy retired as Office Manager at the former YMCA Camp Montvale; she never met a stranger and loved every child as her own. Her life was a reflection of her relationship with Jesus; she showed that agape love for everyone and demonstrated the compassion of the Christ. Kathy lived Ephesians 4:32, " And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you ."  She was an active member of Forest Hill Baptist Church and loved her extended church family.  Kathy enjoyed working in her gardens, crocheting, card making, jewelry making, and many other crafts which she shared and blessed others with.  She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing delicious meals for her family and friends. Her home and her heart were always open for everyone.
