Julia “Julie” Carol Effler, 84, of Rockford passed away Monday, July 13, 2026, at Ocoee Transitional Care Center. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren and her family. Julie will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Leon Effler; parents, Ulys and Mintha Shultz Wilson; sisters, Betty Jo Taylor, Pauline Phipps, Imogene Wilson; and brother, Geral Dee Wilson; sister-in-law, Evelyn Wilson; and brother-in-law, Ray Taylor.

Julie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet Effler and Scott Franklin; granddaughters, Kate Franklin and Lauren Franklin; sister, Johnnie Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Magnolia Cemetery, Pastor Tim Townsend officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
