Joseph Brian Caplinger (62), Maryville, TN died on March 3, 2022, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was born in Parkersburg, WV on January 2, 1960, to James Russell Caplinger and Phyllis Ann Brown Caplinger. Joe was always a jack of many trades, but his love of music and entertaining won the hearts of all as he was affectionately known as "Fiddler Jowe". He was preceded in death by his father, James; brother, Jeffrey Allen Caplinger; and great-great nephew Kellen Caplinger. He is survived by his three daughters Josephine, Emily, and Loretta; his mother, Phyllis of Maryville; his sister, Dr. Kimberly Wilks (James) of Loudon, TN; brother, Timothy Caplinger (Karen) of Parkersburg, WV; and special friend through the years, Morag Turner of Maryville, TN.  He is also survived by two nieces, four nephews; four great nieces, three great nephews; two great-great nephews and one great niece as well as many uncles and aunts.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
