Joe Sunderland, age 89, of Maryville was surrounded by family as he went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.  We will miss him everyday until we see him again.

Preceded in death by his great love, Vera Imogene Thomas; parents, Bill and Grace Sunderland; brothers, Hugh, Gene, Wayne, and Fred Sunderland; and sister, Shirley McKenzie.

Survived by his daughters, Margo (Tracy) Hamlet; Robin (Larry) Nelson; sons, Joe Keith & Cecil Sunderland; brother, Ron (Wanda) Sunderland; six grandchildren, Jamie, Angel, JoAnn, Mandy, Julie and Samuel.  He had such a great love for his five-generation family, and took such pride in his abundance of great and great-great grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Memorial Church, 504 E. Lincoln Rd. Alcoa, TN 37701.

A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Grace Memorial Church, 504 E. Lincoln Rd. Alcoa, TN 37701, Pastor Ronald Sunderland officiating.
