Jessie Hodges Ayers, 98, of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 21, 2026. She was a member of West Maryville Baptist Church. Jessie graduated from Friendsville High School in 1946.

She was preceded in death by her parents, JP and Vicy Taylor Hodges; husband of 58 years, Weyman Ayers; infant son; and sisters, Imogene and Lorene Hodges.

Jessie is survived by many cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

A special thanks to the staff and residents of Brookdale Sandy Springs and the members of West Maryville Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Chapel Cemetery Fund, 3334 Ralph Phelps Rd., Louisville, TN 37777.

Graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM, Friday, July 24, 2026, at Zion Chapel Cemetery, Rev. Bill Dixon officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
