James Edward "Eddie" Dockery, known as "the Volkswagen Man" went home to be with the Lord on May 28, 2024.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to many. He enjoyed socializing, music, and classic cars.  Eddie was employed at Thatcher's Service Center for more than 25 years. Eddie will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Holston College Cemetery, Rev. Allen Bryant and Rev. Dempsey Walker officiating.  Arrangements are with Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
