Irmtraud Emilie Blalock, age 92 of Maryville, passed away peacefully Wednesday surrounded by loved ones. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Irmtraud lived a full and vibrant life rooted in kindness, hard work, and love for her family and home.

Born in Germany to the late Wilfred and Erika Schneider, Irmtraud later made her home in the United States, where she raised a family and built a life filled with grace and warmth. She took great pride in her work as a department store supervisor and found joy in life's simple pleasures—cooking, baking, reading, tending to her yard and flowers, and entertaining family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Blalock; her parents; and her siblings, Heidi and Bernd Trammel and Gotta and Werner Behrens, all of Germany.

Irmtraud is survived by her children, Hershel W. Dockery Jr. and Herbert W. Dockery; grandchildren, Robert Nicholas Dockery and Nathan Weldon Dockery; and great-grandchildren, Weldon Dockery and Evelyn Dockery. She is also lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law, Lolita Dockery, and many extended family members and friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to all those who offered care, love, and support during Irmtraud's final days, especially the compassionate nurses and staff of UT Hospice.

An interment service will be held at Grandview Cemetery on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., with Nathan Dockery officiating.
