Hubert Rankin Heaton, age 91 of Friendsville, was welcomed into Heaven on Monday September 15th surrounded by family. He is preceded in death by his wife Anna Faye Holloway Heaton, his parents Rev. Carl Heaton and Johnnie Baker Heaton, his siblings Edna Flanagan, Edith Baldwin, Maxine Heaton, Geneva Wyre, Rosalind Loy, Wilma Taylor, Andrew Heaton, Herman Heaton, Sam Heaton, and Gordon Heaton.

Hubert is survived by his sons Steve Heaton (wife Pam) and Terry Heaton, his daughters Kimberly Heaton and Tammy Cline (husband Chuck), grandchildren Kevin Heaton (wife Samantha), Kara West, Kayla Cline, and great grandson Lucas Heaton. He also survived by his devoted chosen family Mike and Karen Campbell and caring nephew James Flanagan. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated team at BMH CCU for the excellent care they provided to Hubert as well as to the staff at BMH Wound Clinic for their compassion and kindness.

Retired from Alcoa after 38 years of dedicated service, he will be remembered for the joy he brought into every room, his generosity, and the deep love he shared with his family, friends, and to the Lord.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday September 19th at Shady Grove Cemetery with Chaplain Timothy Heaton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Hubert requested donations made to The Salvation Army or Second Harvest Food Bank in his memory.
