Hoyt C. Harris, age 93, of Friendsville, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Harris; mother and father, Charles and Josie Harris; brothers, Julian, Glenn, Wayne, and Doke Harris; sisters, Imogene Lambert and Pauline Huffstetler; and step-sons, Gary and Raymond Jr. Dorsey.  Survivors include: stepdaughters, Helen Adkins-Smith (Michael), Margaret Daffron (Dexter), and Imogene Lambert (Ron).  A special thank you to all the caretakers at Brookdale and Avalon Hospice.  Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Hopewell Cemetery, Rev. Bill Dixon officiating.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
