Hilda Doris Cook went to her heavenly home on November 21, 2022.  Hilda was a loving wife to her husband, Howard, of 67 years. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.  She graduated near the top of her class at Everett high school and following that was in the first graduating class at Baptist Hospital Nursing school in Knoxville.  She served as a nurse at Blount Memorial Hospital for approximately 30 years.  She is preceded by her Father William Steadmon, Mother Velma, and her brothers and sisters Stella, Richard, Luther, Arthur, Sarah, Mildred, and Helen.  She taught Sunday School classes at area Christian churches.  She loved traveling. She leaves behind her Son, David and his wife Mary Ellen; Son, Daniel and his wife Jodi; Grandchildren, Andrew and Brianna, Rob and Denise, Carrie, Thomas, Danielle, Adam and Caitlin, Sarah, and Great Grandchildren, Mackenna, Paxton, Polly, Mathilda, Ella, Emma, Rhiley, Chloe, Blakely, and Arthur.  Receiving of friends will be at Miller Funeral home in Maryville on Friday, Nov 25, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with services to follow.  Graveside service will be Saturday Nov 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens in Alcoa.
