Grady Bivens, 87, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022.  Preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Bivens; parents, Hamp and Oda Bivens; brothers, Lester, Hubert, and Delbert Bivens; sister, Dixie Matthews.  He is survived by his children, Jewell Bivens White, Norman (Debra) Bivens, Hollie (Malcolm) Randolph, and Scott Bivens; grandchildren, Katie (Harley) Adams, Lindsay Bivens, and Jason Bivens; great-grandchild, Sevvy; sister, Bertha Ownsby; several nieces and nephews.  A special thanks to the nurses of 5 North at Blount Memorial Hospital for their compassion and care during this difficult time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Empty Pantry Fund, 307 East Harper St. Maryville, TN 37804.  Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Bill Dixon officiating, interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
