On October 30, 2026, Fred Lane entered the Gates of Heaven into the welcoming arms of Jesus. Also there were his parents, Ed and Mildred Lane; Fred’s infant son, Fred Junior; stepdaughter, Jennifer; sisters, Charlotte Lenderman and Betty Duncan; brothers, Jim and George Lane; and several other relatives.

Fred retired with 43 ½ years of service with The Kroger Co.

He is survived by his precious wife, Jeannette; daughters, Teresa Myers, Amanda Long, and Necole Lane; son, Kerry Lane; fur buddy, Jack; several grandchildren and special nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Tom Hatley officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Oakland Trigonia Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
