Edwin Howard Huffstetler passed away peacefully at UT Medical Center on the morning of December 18, 2024.  Howard was a native of Blount County who worked for 27 years as a technician. He also ran a successful auto repair business, Huffstetler Motors, from his home for the majority of his life.  Howard was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to fish and cave dive when he was younger, but his real passion was going out west to Montana to camp and hunt with his sons and his many friends.  In his later years, he loved to spend his days working with his bee hives and feeding his chickens.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Press and Pauline Huffstetler; brothers, Lowell and two infants; son, Bert Cannon; and grandson, Brian Huffstetler.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Gail Huffstetler; children, Mike (Rhonda) Huffstetler, Rick (Mary Alice) Huffstetler, David (Missy) Huffstetler; daughter-in-law, Anna Cannon; brothers, Carroll (Tootsie) Huffstetler and Henry Huffstetler; sisters, Almeda (Bobby) Baker and Doris (Skip) Merriman; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jason) Gutridge, Scott (Melissa) Huffstetler, Megan Huffstetler, Whitney Cannon, and Katie Huffstetler; 8 great-grandchildren who will continue to miss their Papaw.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Pastor Allen Burchfield and Mr. Rick Cheverton officiating.  Interment will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Maple Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
