Edgar Hugh Griffing Jr. passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on October 28, 2024. He served in the U.S. Navy. He is preceded in death by father Edgar Hugh Griffing Sr. and mother Angela Cascio Griffing, brother Victor Griffing Sr. and in laws Rev. Alvin and Bessie Patton. He is survived by his wonderful loving wife of 29 years, Linda Patton Griffing; son, Trey Speights; brother, Ronald V. Griffing Sr. and wife, Myra of Shreveport, LA; sister-in-law, Bernice Patton Long; brother-in-law, Calvin Patton; niece, Stephanie Mills; and several other nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends at Miller Funeral home in the Magnolia chapel on Saturday November 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a funeral service at 7:00 PM with Dr. William Butler officiating.
