Douglas "Doug" McArthur Hughes, 44, passed away at his home in Alcoa on Friday, May 2, 2025.  We are here to celebrate the life of Doug that ended way too soon.

Doug will be greatly missed and will forever live on in our hearts. Doug was free-spirited and quick-witted and could always find a way to make his family and friends laugh.

Doug had a love for Alabama football. He loved his family with all his heart and had a special bond with his mother.  He never failed to let anyone know how much he loved his mom, and he would tell everyone "He was a Momma's Boy."

He was preceded in death by his father, McArthur "Mack" Hughes.

He is survived by his mother, Becky Hughes; brother, Johnny Hughes; half-sister, Bonita Smith; and special aunt, Leila Allison.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Clark's Grove Cemetery, Pastor Tim Townsend officiating.  Arrangements are with Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
