David Martin Sowders, age 46, of Greenback passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mabel and Ira Hodges and Robert and Ruth Sowders.  He is survived by his mother, Mary Sowders; father and step-mother, Tony and Patsy Sowders; grandmother, Anna Sowders; sister, Sarah Sowders; and special cousin, Greta Hammontree.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Knoxville Zoo (Reptile Enclosure), 3500 Knoxville Zoo Drive Knoxville, TN 37914.  Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 29, 2022 at Shiloh Cemetery in Pigeon Forge.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
