Clayton Lewis Ferguson Sr. passed peacefully surrounded by his family. He gave his very best as a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. To those who loved him, he was truly superhuman. His life was shaped by faith, kindness and service. A devoted member of Maple Grove Baptist Church, he lived with gratitude for God's grace and gave generously to those in need. He served his country in the National Guard and was a proud and dedicated Freemason, serving in Lodges Unitia 295 and Mountain View 519. Even through deep sorrow, he held fast to his faith and showed us strength by the way he lived. We will miss his humor, his wisdom and his warm presence. Most of all we will miss his laughter, his tender words of love and the light in his eyes when he was proud of us. He was a true example of a godly man with a heart full of unconditional love freely given.

He was preceded in death by his children, Clayton Jr. and Ellen Chezik, and his granddaughter, Rebecca Faith Jenkins.

He is survived by his wife, Faye; his children, Paul and wife Kasey, Kathy and husband Darrell, and daughter in law Kelly; his grandchildren Amanda, Campbell and wife Tandey, Lily, Olivia, Tanner and girlfriend Hannah; and his great grandchildren Isaac, Alexander and Matthew, who brought him endless joy.

How blessed we are to have been loved by someone so hard to lose.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday at Maple Grove Baptist Church, Rev. Arkie Baker and Rev. Gary Thomas officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday at Maple Grove Baptist Church, 3201 Carpenters Grade Rd, Maryville, TN 37803.
