Cindy Ellen Chapman, age 90, passed on July 12th, 2025. Born on April 8, 1935, Cindy lived a full and meaningful life. She was married to her beloved husband, John Chapman, for 62 years before his passing, and together they built a family and a legacy that will be carried on by their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Cindy was preceded in death by her husband John, and her daughter, Tammi Carroll. She is survived by her son, John Chapman, and her daughters Cheryl Vesser, Linda Brackins and husband Mark, and Leslie Woodall and husband Jeff Woodall, along with son-in-law,  Alex Carroll. She was also a proud grandmother to 6 grandchildren, Ryan Koons and wife Taylor, Chaz Vesser and wife Holly, Colby Vesser, Travis Chapman, Madisyn Chapman and Hunter Woodall and wife Alicia. She was great grandmother to Hailey,

Landon, Lacy, Asher and Micah. She is also survived by her sister, Sheila Smith and husband Wayne and brother Russell Brackins and wife Ginger.

Cindy never met a stranger—she had a special gift for striking up conversations and always found a way to bring a smile to someone's face. She had a remarkable green thumb and took great pride in her flowers and her home. She attended Green Meadow Methodist Church where she met several friends.

One of Cindy's favorite songs was "I Did It My Way" by Frank Sinatra, a tune that perfectly captured her independent spirit and the way she lived her life on her own terms.

Anyone who would like to come to the Chapman home at 1743 Hollister Drive, Alcoa, TN on Sunday, July 20th, 2025 between 12:00pm- 2:00pm is welcome to visit the family.
