Charles "Eddie" Carver, age 80, of Maryville peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.  He was devoted and loving husband, Daddy, Papaw, brother, and friend.  He attended Unity Christian Church, and was a 1959 graduate of Everett High School.  Eddie retired from ALCOA and was a member of the ALCOA 25-year Club.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Minnie Carver; son, Rilo Carver; daughter, Donna (Joey) Sloan; grandchildren, Taylor (Tony) Proffitt, Brooke Carver, Abby-Hope Sloan, and Jozy Sloan; great-grandchildren, Lakyn and Waylon Proffitt; sisters, Terry Ann Ramsey and Kay (Wayne) Huffstetler; sisters-in-law, Janis Carver and Mitchie Brown; brother-in-law, Bud (Rebbie) Hollingsworth; aunt, Billie Hitson; "good daughter", Angela Butler Huskey; 18 super special nieces and nephews and many special cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Rilo Carver and Helen (Hitch) Carver Wolff; grandchildren, Rebecca Jane Sloan and Samuel Cade Sloan; sisters, Wanda Cable and Barbara Dozier; brother, Kenneth Carver; nieces, Wendy Brown and Cindy Cable Gredig; and nephew, Chris Carver.

A special thanks to DaVita Dialysis, Dr. Mark Green, Dr. Jane Souther, Dr. Bhavin Patel, Palliative Care NP Katie Myers, Blount Memorial Heart Cath Lab, Blount Memorial SICU, Blount Memorial staff on 5-South, and Blount Memorial Emergency Room Physicians and Staff.  With an extra special shout out to Emergency Room RN Matt Watson, his quick action and diligent life-saving efforts gifted us more than one week with Papaw Eddie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or DaVita Dialysis Center.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. David Long officiating.  Interment will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Clark's Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
