Obituary

Charlene Marie Webb Holder, 86, of Maryville passed away on May 20, 2025.  Loved ones surrounded her as she peacefully went on to be with her Lord and Savior.

At a very young age, Charlene longed for Jesus. As soon as she turned 12, her parents allowed her to walk to a nearby church.  This was just the beginning of her walk with Christ. She discovered her true purpose and calling in life and began a lifelong endeavor to seek Jesus, study the Word of God, and share the Gospel and love of God with others. She was whole-heartedly dedicated to living by His Will in every aspect of her daily life, and she encouraged others to do the same.  She was a mighty prayer warrior.  She prayed over her family and loved ones daily. Additionally, something her loved ones will always hold dear is that, each day, as someone departed her house, she would simply say "91st" Though it was a seemingly simple statement, it was a reference to Psalm 91.  This verse is describing the power of God and the protection He places over His children against any threats of the enemy.  She was praying for protection over her family each day. It is this prayer, along with the thousands of others, that cover her family today and will continue to cover many generations to come.

Charlene was a true representation of God's love. She believed that in order to find joy in life, we must simply prioritize Jesus first, Others second, and Ourselves las (J.O.Y.) She lived by this every day of her life in order to live as Christ called us to live. Nothing brought her greater happiness and fulfillment than to take care of her family, in Jesus' mighty name, and to glorify the Lord.

Charlene will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to family, and her generous spirit. Her legacy lives on in the memories of all who knew and loved her.

Psalm 91: He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

For he will deliver you from the snare of the Fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his pinions and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

Charlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jeremiah Holder; her father, Darrell E. Webb; her mother, Emerald Willie Demarcus Webb; her brothers, Darrell E Webb and Paul G. Webb.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Wendy (Eddie) King and Tracy Holder; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Amanda) King, Jennifer King, Autumn (Jeremy) Evans, Amanda (Tylor) Clendenen, and Amber (Derek) Brock; and 12 cherished great-grandchildren, Olivia, Elizabeth, Brently, Neyland, Samantha, Blakely, Declan, Kaiya, Cannon, Sebastian, Joshua, and Braden.
