Carmen "Amira" Corbett, beloved daughter, sister, mother, Mimi, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of those who cherished her. Born on July 20, 1968, to Freida and Steve Corbett, Amira grew into a woman whose kindness, humor, and warmth touched every life she encountered. She was the devoted mother of Seth (Leigh) Knaffl and Jared (Ava) Knaffl, roles she embraced with endless love and pride. Her heart was fullest when she was "Mimi" to Sean, Gavan, Juliet, Samson, August, and Maisie. Whether she was cheering them on, sharing stories, or spoiling them, Amira's joy in her grandchildren was unmatched. Amira had a love for life and a gift for making ordinary moments special. She found peace and joy in fishing, laughter in bowling nights, and delight in spending time with family. Her sweet tooth was well-known, but even sweeter was the love she poured into her relationships. She shared her life with her beloved Gary Long, and treasured the bond she held with her siblings, Shawn and Angela Corbett. She was also blessed with a lifelong best friend, Shana Hayes, who stood by her through all seasons of life. Amira's presence was a comfort, her laughter contagious, and her love unwavering.
