Carla Ann McJunkins Robinson was born on August 1, 1955, to Mary Annis Bright and Carl McJunkins. A beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend, Carla lived a life defined by her love for Jesus, her devotion to family, and her extraordinary kindness and compassion for others.
To know Carla was to love her. She was a genuinely sweet and precious soul with a gentle, nurturing spirit and a heart that had room for everyone. Her kindness came naturally, and she had a beautiful way of making others feel loved. She touched countless lives through her warmth and the simple goodness of who she was. Her presence was a blessing to so many, and she was deeply loved by everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Above all, Carla loved Jesus, and her faith was the foundation of the life she lived. She didn’t just speak of God’s love; she demonstrated it through her kindness, compassion, grace, and the way she cared for others. She loved selflessly, gave generously without expecting anything in return, and consistently placed the needs of others before her own. She raised her family with that same foundation of faith, leaving them with the greatest gift of all: knowing the love of Jesus and the promise of eternal life.
Carla’s greatest earthly joy was her family. She devoted her life to loving, nurturing, and caring for those closest to her, creating a lifetime of treasured memories. Being a loving wife and mother was her greatest calling and those blessed to call her theirs know she fulfilled that calling beyond measure. Her love was steadfast and her presence a comfort. Carla’s legacy lives on not only in the countless lives she touched but in the beautiful pieces of herself she leaves behind in her children and grandchildren.
Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Annis and Carl McJunkins; her infant twin daughter, Ashley; her beloved bonus dad, Jim Corbitt; and her special friend, Kay.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Tommy Robinson; her sister, Kimberly Schaefer (Eric); her son, Brent Robinson (Lindsay); and her daughter, Autumn Robinson.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Brock, Isaiah, Lily, Mia, Hannah, Kizer, Christian, and Annabel; her special aunt, Linda; her special cousins, LeaAnn and Bobby Joe; and dear friends, Donna, Alma, Mary Ann, Jim, and Melissa, along with many extended family members and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home in Maryville, Tennessee. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM, with a graveside service to follow at Cloyds Creek United Methodist Cemetery in Greenback, Tennessee.
While her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds peace and comfort in knowing that Carla is now home in the arms of Jesus. Her faith has become sight, her earthly struggles are over, and she is resting in the presence of our Savior!
