Carl J. Fagg, age 81, of Maryville passed away peacefully and into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Monday, August 1, 2023 at UT Medical Center.  His first love was the Lord; his greatest love was his devoted wife of 58 years, Sue.

He was retired from Levi Strauss and Maryville City Schools.  For years he was known around the softball field, both umpiring and coaching.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eagle and Louise Fagg; brother Roy E. "Buddy" Fagg; and great-grandson, Jonah Simerly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue; children, Donna (Brian), Doug, Steve (Jennifer), and Michael "Big Show" (Candy); grandchildren, Shawn, Brandon (Crystal), and Katie; great-grandson, Cameron; and many many church friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to defer the funeral costs.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Bill Dixon, Rev. Gary Hawley, and Rev. Darrell Croft officiating.  Interment will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Old Piney Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
