Bobby Taylor Stinnett, one day shy of 91, passed away peacefully February 8, 2023 at Blount Memorial Morning View. He was a member of Central Baptist Church Alcoa. Bobby graduated from Everett High School in 1951. He worked 42 years for ARA, Automotive Retailers of America, where he made lifelong friends. Bobby was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved to work in the yard, kept his car in spit shine shape, and was always willing to give anyone a helping hand with his handyman skills. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Dora Lou Stinnett; his parents, Ernest and Elizabeth Stinnett; siblings, Don Stinnett and Mary Louise Stinnett; and daughter-in-law, Sonja Stinnett. Bobby is survived by his sister-in-law, Kathy Stinnett of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Patty Stinnett of Friendsville; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Harold Hord of Friendsville; son, Ernie Stinnett of Greenback; grandchildren, Alyson Stinnett Flynn (Zach), Taylor Stinnett (Rachel), Jessica Hord, Robert "Buzz" Hord, Andrew Hord, Michelle Stinnett Everett (Eric), Ernie Stinnett Jr. (Bree); great-grandchildren, Mason McCarter, Trevor McCarter, Miranda Bowen, Lily Flynn, Elizabeth Flynn, Wyatt Stinnett, Waylon Stinnett, Rylie Myers; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you for the support given from Brookdale Browns Creek, Blount Memorial Morning View, Veteran's Administration, and caregiver, Ramona Jeffries. Family and friends will gather at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Grandview Mausoleum for entombment service, Rev. Jim Haggard officiating, special music will be presented by Jeff Carroll. Flowers are welcome and donations may be made to Blount County Community Action Agency (Meals on Wheels), 3509 Tuckaleechee Pike Maryville, TN 37804. Arrangements are with Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
