Billy Gene Simerly of Louisville passed away Friday February 3, 2023, at UT Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a longtime employee of the John H. Coleman Company in Knoxville with over 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, W.H. "Bill" Simerly and his mother Ellen Simerly both of Miser Station, Tennessee; his sisters Margaret, Gladys, Thelma, and Ema Lea all of Maryville; his mother and father in law Myrtle and Ernest Kincaid.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years Bobbie Kincaid Simerly, son Mark (Lisa) Simerly, grandchildren Haley (Brandon), Alison (Nate), and Nick (Makila) along with 5 great grandchildren, brothers and sister in law Genia, Bill, Randy, Johnny, and J.E. and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held on 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Zion's Chapel Cemetery in Louisville, Tennessee with the Rev. Ronnie Inman officiating.
